Apple Butter

Serves: 4-6

Ingredients

  • 3 cup Crisp Apple Reàl
  • Makes 1 Quart
  • 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and cut into chunks
  • 4 Honeycrisp apples, peeled, cored, and cut into chunks
  • 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cups Crisp Apple Reàl
  • 1 Tablespoon apple pie spice or pumpkin pie spice

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients except Crisp Apple Reàl and spices in a saucepot. Simmer for 20 minutes, until apples are soft.
  2. Add to blender; purée until smooth.
  3. Add back to pot along with Crisp Apple Reàl and spices, and simmer for another 15 minutes, until thickened.
  4. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container, or can in Mason jars.
